We sat with 5 DoE educators on Kauai and asked them about their experiences with generative AI - their uses, pain points, success stories, processes, and where they thought the tech was headed.
This report details a qualitative study where we interviewed five teachers about their experiences with generative AI. The research explores teachers' perspectives, uses, and concerns regarding AI in both their professional and personal lives. Key findings revealed a mix of excitement about AI's potential time-saving benefits and apprehension regarding misuse and ethical implications.
Our report offers recommendations for educators to improve AI literacy and integration into the classroom and suggests community engagement to address the challenges and opportunities presented by this technology. Finally, the report concludes with questions for further research.
